Searching for the Heart of Leeds West Yorkshire Playhouse, 19th-23rd June

“If Leeds was a person what would you say to it?” We can’t wait to see Searching for the Heart of Leeds at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in June. Directed by Alexander Ferris the production has a cast of 44 ranging from ages 18-83, all Leeds residents. Hear their stories from the city and learn about what Leeds means to the people who live here.

Performing Gender Yorkshire Dance 1st June

Dance that makes a difference. Head down to Yorkshire Dance and see Performing Gender on the 1st June. The research sharing programme will show the experience and developments from five solo works and spark a conversation about dance, activism and gender. Each artist will present their work exploring gender and representation.

The Springsteen Sessions The Wardrobe 23rd June

A homage to the music instead of a lookalike band. The Springsteen Sessions were formed in Glasgow back in 2010 and have built up a strong following in the UK. Catch them at The Wardrobe on the 23rd June, a must see for Springsteen fans, the band will be performing a mixture of the well known hits, recent work and some older recordings.

Leeds Waterfront Festival Leeds Dock 24th-25th June

Visit Leeds Dock in June during the Waterfront Festival. Now in it’s 11th year, the festival joins five miles of canal and river ways as the legendary dragon boat race powers through the city water channels. (Hopefully) soak up the sun, and make the most of the street food and drink pop ups that line the canal banks during the festival.
