Congratulations are in order for the faculty of LCoM. Leeds College of Music have successfully
been nominated in the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2018 in the
Outstanding Estates Strategy category.
The awards are now in their tenth year and have been created to celebrate the work of education
teams in the UK. They recognise the foundations laid for the future success of the institutes and in
turn the students who study there.
Over the past 12 months, LCoM has been busy developing and improving their campus’ to create
a place that drives creativity and breaks boundaries. They have invested a huge £1.25 million and
with this created a bespoke music library as well as a refurbished and repurposed facility on their
Quarry Hill campus. There has also been major improvements and investments to ‘The Venue’
with an extension carried out on the 350 seat performance space that has provided a bar, catering
and conference area.
It’s an achievement in itself just to be shortlisted, the THELMAS celebrate the best in the industry
and LCoM, amongst the other successful shortlisted applicants are invited to the Gala awards
evening on Thursday 21st June. It will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
